The 2014 issue of the « state of the school » – an annual basis publication released by the Department of studies of the french Ministry of Education – shows that inequalities are still active in the french educational system.
This 2014 issue underlines the fact that intergenerational inequalities are well entranched in aeas such as gender and earning incomes across all ages. Even though girls do better than boys at school, the division in streams of study shows yet a much more nuanced picture.
