Is UNESCO’s future in jeopardy?

Some say that UNESCO is facing a major crisis due to a cut of american subsidies following the admission of Palestine to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. This is not the first time that such an event occurs. In the 1980’s the U.S. (along with Great Britain and Singapour) withdrawed from UNESCO due to an over politicising of the Organisation – according to the US Ambassador to the UNESCO at the time. But beyond that, UNESCO’s mismanagement seems to be the first and foremost problem.
