Terre des hommes and the United Nations Interagency Panel on Juvenile Justice (IPJJ) published a compendium of international instruments relating to juvenile justice which « aims to provide a tool that will gather together all the texts guaranteeing children’s rights in the systems of justice. »

In order to make accessible The Universal Declaration of Human Rights to the people of Côte d’Ivoire, the regional office of UNESCO in Abidjan has had translated that legal instrument in three local languages : baoulé, dioula and guéré.

A new measure to strengthen children's rights

A new legal instrument will enter into force in april. It will allow children and their legal representatives to bring a complaint before the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child in case of violation of their rights. Costa Rica is the tenth State to ratify the third optional Protocol to the Rights of the Child Convention – which will allow the document to come into effect.
